Great as refried beans, in soups, and can be added to salads and casseroles.
Instructions: Rinse 1 cup of dry beans. Soak overnight to reduce cooking time. Drain. Add beans to 3 c of boiling water and simmer covered for 60-90 min. (Unsoaked beans take 150 min)
Shelf life: 2-3 years. Best if consumed within the 1st year.
