Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help:
- Promote sweating (diaphoretic), to help relieve fever (in cases of common colds, flus)
- Relieve symptoms of colds and flus (such as coughs, sore throat and catarrh of the upper respiratory tract)
- Relieve nasal congestion and discharge associated with sinusitis, hay fever/allergic rhinitis
Elderflowers (Sambucus nigra subsp. canadensis).
Adults and adolescents 14 +: 1 tsp, twice per day
Adolescents 6 to 13 years old: 1 tsp, once per day
Children 3 to 5 years old: 1/2 tsp, once per day
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a health care practitioner. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) can occur, in which case, discontinue use.
