Let’s be honest… week day mornings are STRESSFUL during the school year! Between getting the kids ready for back to school, and getting yourself off to work in one piece, there’s barely any time to squeeze in the things that ACTUALLY matter! Say… your HEALTH for instance! So in honour of arguably the busiest time of the year – ie. back to school – we thought that we would share an easy morning routine that you can implement into your hectic schedule! Morning Routines Made Easy Solidifying a morning routine is CRUCIAL! Not only does it ensure that everyone gets out the front door in a timely manner, but it also helps set the tone for the rest of your day. Now, I am by NO means a morning person, but integrating the below steps into my daily schedule has really helped to establish a great foundation for a less stressful, more productive day! So what are you waiting for?! Get going! Step One – Get Up and Get MOVING! I always like to start my day with a quick workout! It completely alters the entire trajectory for the rest of my work day, and I always feel like I am a lot more productive when I start my day out with a little fitness! Even if it IS just a 30 minute run on the treadmill! Push yourself to set your alarm for about an hour earlier to fit that workout in… no matter what! It will be difficult at first, but worth it once you get into a groove! And don’t forget to refuel during your workout!
